To prevent this problem, there are now some available boards designed with a piece of plastic on their tail to limit the wear.
For this way, you need to lean back, pop a wheelie, and drag the skateboard’s tail on the ground to get a stop.
This way is quite the same as the tail stop. You also have to pop a wheelie on your skateboard.
However, there is no need to slam the tail of your skateboard onto the ground. What you need to do is leaving a part of your foot on the board; the other foot part dangling off will pull behind and slow you down.
