There are millions of college students just like you just about to embark on a whole new life. Embrace the fact that there are other people in the same boat as you and use this thought to comfort you.
It certainly won’t be easy but rest assured that everyone else is probably experiencing the same level of fear and anxiety as you.
Don’t Rush it
It can be quite tempting to rush through the process, but just remember that if you don’t want to go to college now, you can take a gap year if you wish. There is no law that states you have to go to college when all your peers are packing up to go.
Take your time and don’t rush, this is another valid tip to help you mentally prepare for college because taking a gap year might be just what you need to prepare for the next three to four years of study; new friends, new relationships, and much more.

Talk to your parents, your friends, or your therapist, just talk. Talking through your feelings is great for your mental health. In fact, it is a healthy way to deal with your emotions, so never underestimate the power of talking.

Preparation is key, get all your things organized way ahead of time. Don’t wait until the last minute to start. Get it done as soon as possible, that way, you can take your time and get things done without rushing and causing unnecessary stress.
