RRB NTPC Admit Card 2019 – What You Should Know?

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will release its admit card for 35,208 vacancies under non-technical popular categories (NTPC) soon. However, it is likely to be delayed. The RRB NTPC admit card is generally released 4 days before the exam. 

Stage 1 of the exam is likely to be held in December 2019. The admit card will be released soon, but there is no official update yet. The link to admit card download will be updated once the RRB releases it.

The RRB released a notice regarding the total number of candidates appearing in this year’s RRB NTPC exam. As per this notice,1,26,30,885 candidates have applied for this year’s stage 1 exam. The RRB NTPC computer-based tests (CBT) will be conducted in 15 languages like English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.

RRB NTPC Admit Card Update: RRB has released a notification regarding RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam. RRB NTPC was scheduled between June and September. However, it has been postponed. The revised schedule will be uploaded on all the official websites of RRBs. As per the sources, it is now likely to be held in 2020. 

RRB will first notify all candidates through a notice on the date of issue of the admit card. The notice will be put up on all the regional websites of NTPC. Before the release of the RRB NTPC admit card, RRB will release the RRB NTPC Exam Date, Exam City, and Sample Mock Test Articles. All the candidates are instructed to regularly keep an eye on this page for all the latest updates on RRB NTPC Admit Card and Exam Date release. 

RRB NTPC Exam Stages: RRB will conduct the NTPC exam in four stages. The first phase will be a Computer Based Test or Stage 1, followed by another Computer Based Test which is Stage 2, the 3rd round will be a Skill Test to determine the competencies of a candidate by his or her typing speed. The final round will be Document Verification and Medical Examination to test the physical strength of a candidate as the selected candidate may be a commercial apprentice, goods train guard or an assistant station master which requires extensive travelling along with physical stamina.

Steps to download RRB NTPC Admit Card for Stage 1 Exam:

The steps to download RRB NTPC Admit Card are as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official RRB website from the region you have applied. 

Step 2: Click the link for RRB NTPC Admit Card.

Step 3: Select the RRB region from where you have applied.

Step 4: Enter your details.

Step 5: Click on ‘submit’.

Step 6: The RRB NTPC Admit Card will be displayed on your screen. Download the admit card and take a printout of the same.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Stage 1:

  • The exam duration for PWD candidates will be 2 hours.

  • For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

  • The score obtained in this round will be used to shortlist candidates for Stage 2 as per the cut-off marks.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Stage 2: 

  • The exam duration for PWD candidates will be 120 minutes.

  • Negative marking of 1/3rd is there for every wrong answer.

  • The level of questions will be different for different posts.

  • Marks obtained in this round will be used to shortlist candidates for the skill test.

RRB NTPC Exam Pattern for Skill Test:

  • It will be a typing test.

  • 8 times the number of vacancies will be called for this test.

  • The candidates should be able to produce 30 WPM in english without any error. 

Document Verification:

The final list of selected candidates as per their merit and equal to the number of vacancies posted will be called for document verification after successfully passing the medical test. 

RRB NTPC Syllabus: 

The syllabus of both the two stages of NTPC is the same. The only difference is the number and time allotted to the questions. The 3 sections and syllabus of computer-based tests or Stage 1 and 2 of RRB NTPC are:

General Awareness: Topics include Current Events of National and International importance, Art and Culture of India, General Science, History of India, Space and Nuclear Program of India, Flora and Fauna of India, Flagship Government Programmes, etc.

Logical Reasoning and Aptitude: Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Data Sufficiency, etc.

Mathematics: Number System, LCM, HCF, Percentage, Mensuration, Profit and Loss, Elementary Statistics, etc.

The candidates are required to keep a track on the page to be updated to recent notifications. Though the examinations have been delayed, it is considered that the admit cards are likely to be issued soon. Thus, it is advised that the candidates keep up with their preparations to secure a job in the Railways.
